2012 All-Star Saturday Dunk Contest, 3-point Challenge and Skills Challenge Winners

3-Point Shootout Winner: Kevin Love Minnesota Timberwolves

Kevin Love does most of his dirty work inside for the Minnesota Timberwolves. It turns out he has quite the outside shooting touch, too.Love beat out Oklahoma City star Kevin Durant to win the 3-Point Shootout during the NBA’s All-Star Saturday night festivities. The former UCLA star was consistent throughout, but had to survive a tiebreaker in the first round and sweat out the last few shots from Durant to pull out the 17-14 victory in the final.Love is in the middle for a breakout year for Minnesota, averaging 25 points and 9.9 rebounds a game. But he also has connected on 49 of 141 3-point attempts for Minnesota.

Skills Challenge Winner: Tony Parker San Antonio Spurs

After finishing last in his first two years competing in the Skills Challenge, Tony Parker had little reason to be confident when he took the court for a third time Saturday night. But Parker clearly learned from his previous mistakes, posting a time of 32.8 seconds in the finals to defeat Rajon Rondo and Deron Williams during All-Star Saturday Night at the Amway Center.

NBA Slam Dunk Contest Winner: Jeremy Evans Utah Jazz

Utah’s Jeremy Evans won the Slam Dunk Contest at the NBA’s All-Star Saturday night festivities.Evans, who got into the competition as a replacement for injured New York guard Iman Shumpert, earned 29 percent of 3 million text message votes cast by fans. This was the first year that fans had total control of voting, a major tweak from past competitions.Evans earned the win over Houston’s Chase Budinger, Indiana’s Paul George and Minnesota’s Derrick Williams.Evans dunked with a camera on his head, dunked two basketballs while jumping over a seated assistant and then donned a Karl Malone jersey while dunking over mailman-dressed comedian Kevin Hart. This year’s contest lasted three rounds, but the four participants had only two minutes per round to complete a single dunk.
